So, you\'re probably asking yourself.. what came with this update?

Well, it might only be visible on the EpicBlue and EpicBlue Mobile themes.

Fury, Fury Classic, and EpicBlue Classic are to be updated in one of several \"mini\" updates that will occur this week. I expect to have them up to date by tomorrow evening.

Why you ask? It is due to the need of more testers. Not just single people. but groups of people.

Then we can run a more structured test environment with clear direction on WHAT to test, as well as what to test FOR!

I know, I know... a tall order.

Now, the question.

What is new?

Starting with the Mobile theme, this theme is not in in it\'s final phase (same story as with EpicBlue) as it requires more input. I urge players who use mobile devices to try it out and then suggest change if any is needed!

Next, you\'ll notice talk about the Commander.
The Commander is the results of a lot of ideas, and a number of requests over the years. The Commander is your overall controller of fleet. The Avatar image? That\'s your Commander\'s image (I\'ll fix the names later).

The Commander affects your fleet. This will only be seen with the new Combat Engine, it is NOT active at this time. The introduction of the Commander now is to allow you to gain experience and get used to the concept.

The Commander gains experience when you perform certain tasks each day. Every 24 hours it allows you to do the tasks again. You earn experience to reach new levels, with each level giving you points to spend on stats.

The Commander can also equip things - helmets, armour, firearms, melee weapons, shields, accessories, and miscellaneous artifacts.

The Commander will eventually USE that equipment in 1 on 1 combat when players declare \"vendetta\" on eachother, but that is in an update still to come.

Each level gained and each piece of equipment used adds stats to four very important things.

Attack - each point will stack an additional percentage point on top of your Weapons when you launch a fleet or defend an attack.

Shield - each point will stack an additional percentage point on top of your Shields when your launch a fleet or defend an attack.

Cargo - each point will increase your fleets total storage by a percentage point before you launch your fleet.

Speed - each point will increase your fleets total speed when you launch your fleet.

Just so people don\'t get overwhelmed, features will be added in installments.

Next, a minor addition. Comments on the Hall of Fame page.

You can now comment on the Combat Report, anyone can see these comments so the admin reserve the right to delete any spam messages and mete out a punishment on any particularly offensive posts. Please keep things family oriented!

Next, another minor addition. You may now turn ON/OFF the jgrowl attack notifications.

Next, something people have been SCREAMING for.

Hard-coded bashing protection.
PLEASE, try and break this. Report if you are allowed to attack an active planet more than 5 times and you will be rewarded instead of punished! (the player who gets attacked gets the repayment of losses)

Next update will have the list of bug fixes - mini updates will be for images, content correction, minor display bug corrections.

We\'re planning a much faster release system once we button down the combat engine. There is a great deal still to do but that is the keystone! Everything else becomes much easier to tackle!

Update complete! Took longer than expected, I had missed one field on the fleet mission log
This was preventing attacks and was giving an error on other mission types, but now all should be well.
I will be near the PC for the rest of the day so please do not hesitate to contact me in-game if you are still having troubles!
The login page will receive another update this evening - still working on some content.
Mobile theme is missing a few images, these will be uploaded this evening as well.
Mobile theme also has some issues with 2D and 3D galaxy maps. Mobile will only have 1D functional, and shortly will default to that setting. Apologies about this, though there will be improvements as well!
Commander attack bonuses do NOT take effect until the new Combat Engine is installed to the main game.
This will be done before the end of August!
The new Poll should be ready to start either tonight or tomorrow evening, still working on the questions!
